A braided rug is crafted by intertwining threads of wool, jute, or synthetic fibers into a durable and textured weave. These rugs are known for their handcrafted appeal, durability, and rustic charm. Whether you opt for a braided jute rug for an organic, eco-friendly look or a braided wool area rug for cozy warmth, this style blends function with timeless beauty.
A braided rug brings texture and a sense of comfort to any room. For example, a round braided rug makes a perfect centerpiece in a small space like a breakfast nook and a braided hallway runner is a classic choice . In outdoor areas, a round rug from Laguna or Poolside adds a delightful design element while defining the space on pool decks, patios and porches. Pair braided rugs with wooden furniture, woven baskets, and natural textiles for a cohesive, inviting feel.
Braided rugs complement farmhouse, cottagecore, coastal, bohemian, and traditional interiors. A braided jute rug pairs beautifully with neutral, earthy color palettes, perfect for a modern rustic or bohemian-inspired home. Coastal homes benefit from soft-toned braided rugs that enhance an airy, relaxed atmosphere.

Sometimes, braided natural fiber rugs can "sprout" loose ends on the face of the rug. This is completely normal and especially common for jute braided rugs like Barbuda. The jute fiber is soft and short, therefore the ends sometimes pop up. It is OK to trim these sprouts with scissors (do not pull!)—it will not harm the integrity of the weave.
